Uncle Jay Explains the News isn’t actually my personal project, but I’ve hosted and operated the site since Uncle Jay started doing his weekly video podcast in 2007. His videos have gone viral a couple of times, most notably in Winter 2008 when his annual musical “Year in Review” episode went to #1 on YouTube!.
While he got close to 15 million views on the YouTube version, the site did a fair amount of traffic during that period too – over 2.3 million, mostly in the first 2 weeks of January, and the site never crashed!
